Feast for All

There is no greater calling than that of raising children. And many days, there is no greater challenge. If there is one thing i have learned during both my years as a public school teacher and in homeschooling my own children, it is this simple truth: God did not need me to teach them, but rather He chose me to raise the children He entrusted to be my own. That can only mean that not only will He equip me for this duty, but i believe He has as much or more for me to learn along the way.

Community is vital to growth. To disciple another, to be encouraged when we're struggling through, or in simply knowing we are not making this trek alone is one of the most precious pieces to be a homeschooling family. At River Folk School, we don't just want to nourish our children's eager minds, we want to feed the souls of their teachers, their mommas, as well.
